MAN X MADE / Aileen Frick and Joe Woodford

Man + Made

This body of work aims to explore the relationship between man and public art. Public sculpture has a contemplative presence and a strength that is timeless.  It reflects ideas of mortality, divinity and being.

“At a recent public art show, I was introduced to the sculpture of Joe Woodford. I was so moved by this work that I became consumed with public sculptures in the many cities that I was visiting. My desire was to create paintings that evoke same feelings.

It is of this initial meeting that Man + Made was born and it with great pleasure that we present Aileen Frick and Joe Woodford at {9} The Gallery.

Every spirit builds itself a house; and beyond its house, a world; and beyond its world a heaven. Know then, that the world exists for you: build, therefore, your own world.
